Automatic mode
Basic setting for maximum comfort:
z Pre ss AUTO button.
z Open all front air vents and, if necessa ry,
th e r ea r ven t s 3.
z Set the pre-selected tempera ture for the
driv er and passenger sides to 22 °C using
th e t u r n kn ob s.
If necessary, the pre-selected tem perature
can be set higher or lower.
Different pre-s ele cted tempe ratures can be
set for the driver a nd pas seng er sides .
Operating without cooling (ECO ap pears in
display) may affect comfort; see page 130.
Pre-selected temperatures
Using the knobs, pre-selected
temperatures can be set to va lues between
16 °C and 28 °C.
For the sake of comfort, only change the
pre s ele cted temp erature in small s tep s.
The pre-selected temperatures for both the
driver a nd passenger sides are shown in
the display.
If a temperature below 16 °C is set, LO
appears in the disp la y: the electronic air
conditioning system runs constantly with
maximum cooling. The temperature is not
re g u lat ed .
If a temperature above 28 °C is set, HI
appears in the disp la y: the electronic air
conditioning system runs constantly with
maximum heating. The temperature is not
re g u lat ed .
The pre-selected temperatures are
re tained when the ig nition is sw itche d off.
If the pre-selected temperature is
displayed only on the driver’s sid e, the
driver’s side and passenger side
temperatures are set together. The
temperature pre-selected for the drivers
side is adopted for the passenger side.
To set tem peratures separately, press one
of the two knobs and m ake the settings for
each s ide .
To once again set the temp erature for the
driver and pa ssenger sid e together, press
the knob again.
For reasons of comfort, the pre-selected
temperatures should not differ by more
than 2 °C.
To switch the temperature display between
°C and °F: press the AUTO button for
approx. 3 seconds.
